Judiciary Celebrates 10 years of Small Claims Procedure
The Judiciary is in a celebratory mode, having rolled out Small Claims Procedure (SCP) to over 100 courts. Launched ten years ago in 2011 to adjudicate civil matters below Shs10 million, the simplified court procedure through its judgments now annually releases at least Shs13 billion into the economy.
To celebrate this achievement, implementers of this fast access to justice, comprised of Judicial officers, brilliantly took on the ‘Jerusalema’ dance challenge to celebrate the low-income earners who have utilized the initiative to recover their monies.
